Handel and the Darkening Moon

In Handel and the Darkening Moon, Handel’s life is explored in a wonderfully original, imaginative, and sometimes humorous form, using lyrical language and images, plumbing the depths of emotion and memory, and including some of his most beautiful music. The audience are taken on an intriguing journey, full of unexpected twists and turns, culminating in a surprising and moving ending.

Paul Humpoletz, who plays the central character, is an actor of great experience in all media, and recently played Churchill on BBC2 in ’WW2 – Behind Closed Doors’. A one man show about Handel presented by Theatre Tarquini and The English Theatre of Amsterdam.
